Black & Gold Christmas No. 3

Gold swirly tree as before. The fabulous swirly gold embossed card came as part of a kit from QVC, and I wish I had more of it.

Black & Gold Christmas No. 2

Here's the second of my black & gold themed Christmas cards. The swirly tree was cut from plain black card and I sprayed it with several coats of clear glaze spray to give it a fabulous shine.

Black & Gold Christmas No. 1

I've made a few Christmas cards on the black & gold theme all using this fabulous swirly Christmas tree. I bought some white trees from ebay and painted them gold using an Adirondack Acrylic Paint Dabber. The cream and black mats are Nestabilities Curved Rectangles.

This card was made using a large wood-mounted stamp by Hero Arts. I stamped and then heat embossed the image, and then used three shades of Stickles for the centres of the flowers.

High Heels

I made this card last year for a friend's birthday. The shoe shape was a template. The large shoe was covered in black glitter, and the small pink shoes were made using shrink plastic. Backing papers by DCWV.

One Stamp - three looks

These are three birthday cards I made last year using the agapanthus stamp by Stampendous.

This purple and gold image was stamped using Brilliance Dew Drop ink pads.

The next two were stamped using Whispers brush markers.

With this one, I spritzed the stamp after inking but prior to stamping to give a softer blurred effect.

Pink Petticoat's Lola Rose

These cards were made using images of Lola Rose by Pink Petticoat. I really love these images - they're both chic and fun, which is a good combination I think. I've coloured them in using Whispers brush markers, with hints of glitter using Stickles.

ATCs

Here are some ATCs I made a couple of years ago when taking part in ATC swaps on the crafttelly.com forum. I still really like them all, and hope that those who received them do too.

These gold ones were made by stamping and embossing the whole card in gold, and then adding various embellishments on top.

These orange ATCs are a combination of cardstock and sentiments from a Colorbok Flavia pad and the flowers are CraftyBitz.

Pink flowers stamped using a Brilliance ink pad in Pearlescent Orchid.

These were made using papers that I bought in a kit from QVC, but I can't remember who they're by.

Christmassy ATCs using toppers by CraftyBitz.

Photo Cards

Here's a few cards I made using photographic images.

This card was made for my daughter's birthday this year. I pink-tinted the image, and the backing papers are DCWV.

This was my son's birthday card this year. I used foam pads of different depths so each image was higher/lower on different sides/corners. It was really effective.

This was my father-in-law's birthday card last year, and shows a few of his favourite things.

Peeloff Cards

Here's a couple of cards I made last year whilst playing about with peeloffs. The chinese junk card was made for my father-in-law who did his national service in Hong Kong.

Oooo - look at me - number 856 in the Crafty Blogs rankings! lol

Cards for Emma's friends

These are cards that I made for three of my daughter's friends. They're quite simple and uncomplicated, but each card suited the girl it was made for. Backing papers and toppers from Kanban and Making Cards magazine.

Another couple of cards with the birds. The backing papers on these two are also from Pink Petticoat. (Must admit to not finding this software the most straightforward that I've ever used, but I'll struggle on).

Here's a few cards I made using the very sweet bird images by Pink Petticoat.

Hi. I've set up this blog mainly to showcase my handmade card designs. I hope you like them.
